During our preparations for the Warburg Renaissance refurbishment project, we recently became aware that we urgently need to replace the periodicals rolling stacks in the basement.
The basement will be closed from 5 August to the end of September 2019 while new shelving is installed. The rest of the library will remain open as usual.
The following classmarks will be inaccessible to both staff and readers from 5 August until the end of September:
K- Ancient Art & Archaeology
CR- Modern Art
NCP Book auction catalogues (2nd floor NCP books remain available)
CGI Art auction catalogues (1st floor CGI books remain available)
Before work begins on 5 August, readers may reserve up to 10 extra volumes from the basement, in addition to the usual limit of 10 reserved items.
We apologise for the short notice and for the inconvenience these works will cause. We appreciate that these works will cause some disruption and apologise for the relatively short notice, but the new roller racking will provide a much improved user experience for all our readers and help maintain the collection for future decades.
